## The source of the label

Examine what evidence a mixer, darknet or other category label rests on. Do not pass on a label of uncertain origin as established fact.

## Freshness and sanctions

Bear in mind that the legal status of a particular service can change over time. Do not show historical sanctions information as continuously valid without checking the current official record.

## Exposure and decision

Separate direct interaction from indirect relationship. Proceed to the institution's decision by assessing relationship depth, time and transaction context; a category label on its own is not a final verdict.
