Blockchain labels gain meaning together with source, date and relationship type. A service category and a current sanctions designation are not the same thing.
The source of the label
Examine what evidence a mixer, darknet or other category label rests on. Do not pass on a label of uncertain origin as established fact.
Freshness and sanctions
Bear in mind that the legal status of a particular service can change over time. Do not show historical sanctions information as continuously valid without checking the current official record.
Exposure and decision
Separate direct interaction from indirect relationship. Proceed to the institution's decision by assessing relationship depth, time and transaction context; a category label on its own is not a final verdict.
