A KYC integration requires more than a successful API response. User steps, data flow and failure cases must be designed together.
Fix the scope
Determine document, country, device and check method. Define where the user leaves and returns to the application and which data is processed in which system.
Implement the states
Map started, in progress, completed, retry and review states to the product's real responses. Verification is not complete when a page animation finishes.
Pre-production assessment
Check credential management, sensitive data in logs, repeated requests and unsupported devices. Do not guarantee a go-live time before scope is determined.
