TFR 2023/1113 concerns the information accompanying transfers of funds and certain crypto-assets. It has applied since 30 December 2024 and is a separate regulation from MiCA.
The information requirement
Requirements relating to the originator, the beneficiary and the transfer context are assessed under the relevant provisions. Do not use a single amount threshold as a general exemption for all transactions.
Exceptions and review
Missing or inconsistent information, the counterparty's response and the related wallet context need separate assessment. Delivering the technical message does not show that all obligations have been fulfilled.
Translating into the product
Map the requirement to data fields, verification steps and the exception flow. Keep the different roles of a Travel Rule product and blockchain risk screening.
